Abstract

In an era of ever-evolving technology, student character building is a significant challenge for Islamic education. With the increasing use of technology in the learning process, it is important for Islamic education policies to adapt to remain relevant and effective. This research aims to explore how Islamic education policies are adapted to face the challenges of student character building in a digital environment. The research method used a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with Islamic education teachers and analysis of education policy documents. The results showed that the adaptation of Islamic education policy includes the integration of Islamic values in online learning, the use of digital platforms to strengthen students' character, and training for teachers in utilizing technology effectively. In addition, the research found that collaboration between schools and parents is also key in supporting students' character building in the technological era. In conclusion, the adaptation of Islamic education policies is crucial to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of character education in the digital era. This research provides recommendations for policy makers to develop more innovative strategies in integrating Islamic values into technology-based curriculum.
